Overview #
The filter finds cases which follow a selected number of top process variants (e.g., top 3 variants).
Common Uses #
- To find and analyze cases that follow Top 5 process variants.
Settings #

- Top Variants: Specify the number of top variants you wish to see.
- Remove selected cases: Select the check box to discard the filtered cases and not include them in further analysis.
Examples #
Example 1 – Top 5 Process Variants #
To find Top 5 process variants, use the following settings:

Click ‘Create’ to see the output:

The filter removed 16.18% of cases, leaving us with the cases that follow one of the Top 5 process variants.
Example 2 – Infrequent Process Variants #
Instead of finding cases that follow Top process variants, let’s find all the cases that fall off the standard route and don’t follow one of the Top 5 process variants. Make sure to select ‘Remove selected cases’ in settings.

Click ‘Create’ to see the output:

The filter removed 83.82% of cases which represented the cases that followed one of the Top 5 process variants.
